We are seeking a motivated Healthcare Decision Support Manager to join our team.

This position is 100% remote and out-of-state candidates will be considered.

The Healthcare Decision Support Manager will manage the Decision Support Department with the goal of identifying operational revenue cycle performance improvement opportunities through proactive collection, analysis and interpretation of data and will communicate this insight to key decision makers. The individual in this position will participate in new initiatives as a partner in the original and continuous discovery of links between business process improvement and actionable data. Scope of responsibility includes allocating resources and providing project oversight or coordination to all data driven and relevant employee enrichment programs.

The Healthcare Decision Support Manager will:

Provide data solutions related to business strategies in the Revenue Services organization and ensure the use of tools created by the Decision Support team enhance business decision making capabilities. Research and develop investigative and root cause tools and strategies that positively impact operational improvement. Serve as a key member of the Decision Support team in providing leadership, expertise, and recommendations as necessary and appropriate. Leverage revenue cycle data via analysis, visualization, and statistical methods to provide insight into enterprise performance Proactively identify methods of improving operations; implement methodologies and related communication to assist in the interpretation of results. Build and maintain relationships throughout CU Medicine to understand key business objectives/interests and facilitate scenarios resulting in mutual gain and improved partnership. Collaborate across the CU Medicine organization to: Implement, integrate, and extract data from applications critical to the functioning of the Revenue Services operation. Audit and take steps to remedy data quality, including making recommendations for end users. Design, code, and manage analysts to meet specifications for physical, logical, and end user data, dashboards, and tools. Define, analyze, and report on analytics and financials for a variety of projects Prioritize all requests and projects to ensure project timelines are met and communicate status updates and completion deadlines to requesting parties. Provide support in the research and preparation of statistical information according to revenue cycle survey questionnaires while retaining responsibility for the quality of the data submitted. Participate in the creation and maintenance of financial, statistical, and analytical reports developed by the Decision Support team and assist in creating/setting benchmarks to drive operational effectiveness and efficiency. Provide expertise and support for any business intelligence products/software for the purpose of reporting and analyzing the activities associated with the revenue cycle and ensure the Department is providing training, answering questions and providing the expertise in the analysis of any new products, testing, upgrades or changes to these types of tools. Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, busine s, or related field with five years professional experience, preferably in a physician billing or hospital environment, as well as 3+ years of experience in a management (preferred) or supervisory capacity. Must have experience in gathering information from several sources and analyzing information to draw conclusions and make recommendations. High level proficiency in the use of Microsoft SQL Server with strong working experience in the development of complex queries, data models and dashboards is required. Experience in using visualization tools such as Tableau and statistical tools such as Stata or R is preferred. Must demonstrate strong project management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines. The ideal candidate will work successfully in a team environment, collaborating with others to achieve goals and initiatives. Must act independently, proactively, and effectively communicate in both verbal and written formats. Flexibility and the ability to maintain positive working relationships is key.
