Jackie Meza with Robert Half has an opportunity for a Cost Accountant based in Atwater, California, in the telecom industry. This role is vital to our team, focusing on processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. As a Cost Accountant, you will also monitor customer credit accounts and take the necessary actions to collect delinquent payments. Responsibilities:

• Support Plant Controllers and Plant Management with day-to-day reporting, costing, forecasting, annual budgeting, period-end and year-end accounting/finance functions

• Produce and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to plant operations

• Perform regular variance analysis and provide explanations to Plant Controller and Plant Management

• Establish working relationships with plant operation partners to obtain and provide insightful analysis for plant financial results

• Complete monthly period-end close-related tasks including preparing journal entries, expense accruals, and cost/variance analysis to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely reporting of financial results

• Contribute to the timely completion of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations including resolving reconciling items

• Support facility cycle count and physical inventory controls and procedures

• Maintain the company’s accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Assist with forecasting and annual budgeting process

• Assist with annual audit requests to provide timely and accurate information

• Create reports as needed, ad hoc analysis, and other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with CapEx and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions and Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Budget Processes

• Experience in Cost Accounting and Cost Analysis.
