Description:

• One of the top general contracting and construction management companies in the region is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator. The Construction Estimator will sit out of their office in Atlantic City, NJ. In this role, you would be working on commercial building construction projects from the design and bidding phases through purchasing. A few of their current projects include casinos and hotels.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare budgetary, conceptual, and competitive bid estimates for commercial construction projects while maintaining a proper balance between the profitability of the company and the achievement of total customer satisfaction.

• Provide estimating services that consist of labor and material quantity take-offs as required.

• Perform Carpentry and Drywall takeoffs for self-performed trade work.

• Perform pre-construction services.

• Develop and/or understands the full parameters of the project scope.

• Perform bidding and estimating project lead tasks and present estimates to clients.

• Attend pre-bid and de-scope meetings with clients.

• Develop a basis of scope for bidding and estimating purposes.

• Qualify all estimates and bids relative to scope.

• Review Change Orders and negotiate with Owners, Architects and Subcontractors.

• Develop project logistics and assist with planning and scheduling the work. Manage workloads according to department deadlines, commitments, and priorities.

• Foster positive relationships with internal and exterior customers, subcontractors, and design professionals.

Qualifications:

• At least 5-10+ years of experience as an Estimator.

• Purchasing experience (must be able to bargain and negotiate).

• Pre construction experience.

• Degree in Architecture, construction management, engineering, or related field.
