Newell Brands Sr. Financial Analyst, Distribution in Atlanta, Georgia

The Senior Financial Analyst FP&A D&T will join Newell’s Global Supply Chain Finance team supporting month-end reporting and budget/estimate process for Global Distribution and Transportation (D&T) teams. You will work collaboratively with business partners across the organization to drive decisions aimed at maximizing operational profitability across the entire D&T network. This position will play a critical role in building financial reporting to promote transparency and effective decision making.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as finance lead supporting the 2 Canada distribution centers (Bolton and Surrey) along with assisting on special projects at the other Newell Service Network sites.The position can be located in any Newell office, manufacturing facility, or distribution center in the US or Canada.

  • Prepare and manage site budgets and estimates, highlighting areas of risk and ensuring the business partners have the information they need to manage their budgets and make effective and timely decisions.

  • Manage the month-end close processand provide reporting, variance analysis, and presentation support for results explanations to business partners and finance/supply-chain leadership.

  • Collaborate with business partners to forecast Capital Expenditures within the Newell Service Network.This includes capitalization of assets, depreciation estimates, and timing of spend.

  • Manage and report on all site productivity projects.

  • Work with the team leadership to support the implementation of new processes and process improvements as needed including preparation of any documentation.

  • Support both internal and external audit requests.

  • Provide ad-hoc support to broader Supply Chain team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics; MBA a plus.

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance.

  • Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to problem solve autonomously.

  • Proficiency in working with MS Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables.

  • Experience with SAP and Hyperion preferred.

  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to develop effective and influential business relationships at all levels.
