Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Senior Security Engineer s in Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.

  • Work with management and other personnel to identify security best practices and apply a risk-based approach to information security as a senior Subject Matter Expert covering the security aspects of Identity & Access Management services with a focus on Customer Authentication services (Single Sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA)) through PingFederate and using Ping Directory.

  • Lead staff on the technical aspects of Information Security architecture, development, and operations. Produce enterprise-level designs for PingFederate and PingDirectory for global initiatives.

  • Collaborate with AWS infrastructure engineers and application developers.

  • Lead steady state and continuous improvement efforts for authentication technologies for globally diverse solutions.

  • Coordinate between infrastructure, application, and threat monitoring teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions.

  • Create and maintain system documentation for authentication technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.

  • Develop, document, and enforce the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of Ping Identity related systems.

  • Support integration and authentication projects for third party vendor solutions, SSO, and cloud hosting. Own and lead solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions.

  • Recommend solutions as appropriate for Ping Identity (Federate and Directory) and other authentication systems.

  • Telecommuting permitted up to two days per week.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Technologies, Information Assurance, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or related field, and four years of experience with IT security systems or related.

  • In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree in Information Systems Technologies, Information Assurance, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or related field, and two years of experience with IT security systems or related.

  • Single Sign-on including PingFederate, PingAccess, Microsoft Azure AD, or ForgeRock authentication systems;

  • Authentication protocols including SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and RADIUS;

  • Using Scripting languages including JavaScript, XML, CSS, OGNL, or Groovy Scripts;

  • Using monitoring tools including PowerBI, Relic, SumoLogic, Dynatrace, Looker, or BigQuery;

  • Operating systems including Red Hat Linux, Unix, and Windows; and

  • Multi-factor authentication including Yubikey, SMS, FIDO U2F biometrics, Ping ID, Microsoft, Okta, RSA, Authy or other MFA services.
