Misumi USA Sales Account Manager- South East in Atlanta, Georgia

ABOUT THE POSITION:

This role will ideally be placed in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina or Kentucky

The Press Sales Account Manager – Die & Mold will be responsible for defending and recapturing sales and growth opportunities at target accounts for a well-established global company within the Die & Mold division.  This role requires a strong level of consulting skills at all levels of the customer’s organization from engineering, purchasing, and management on a 10M+ metal stamping line card and unique configurable product model.  Additionally, this position will be integral in discovering and providing customer insights for business development of new services and products required to expand market share in new and existing markets.  This position has great career opportunities in the company’s rapid growth. Responsibilities include:

Sales:

  • Directly supporting Die & Mold customers and the sales team to achieve revenue goals.

  • Responding to specific inquiries from customers involving die design engineers, die maintenance and purchasing for assistance selecting the correct MISUMI components.

  • As an account representative, listening to, receiving, and taking action on complaints and grievances to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Report the ‘Voice of Customer’, automotive project launches, opportunity funnel and progress, and sales activity on a weekly basis in MS Teams, CRM and/or SalesForce tools.

  • Coordinate visits to target accounts for sales/research/pipeline activity and opportunities.

  • May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential, including new Product Development cooperation with Engineering.

  • Professionally present on products and services to technical and non-technical groups.

  • Forecasts the types of components being considered for purchase and the estimated dollar volume, along with opportunities to capture competitor revenue.

  • Traveling is expected 60% within the U.S. (Midwest Region).

    Business & Product Development:

  • Consult with customers on barriers and solutions needed to increase product and service satisfaction to grow revenue.

  • Synthesize and present product and service recommendations to sales management.

  • Facilitate meetings with product development, engineers, and management members to support business development activities.

  • Strong awareness and knowledge of competition and competitive situation at customer and on automotive project opportunities.

  • P erforms other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be required.

    WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

     

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or mechanical engineering, or related area is preferred.

  • 3+ years of industrial sales experience.  Experience in selling metal press components in automotive and/or metal stamping equipment is preferred.

  • Prior sales experience with tool or die making companies or metal stamping is preferred.

  • Excellent problem solving, communication and evidence of budgetary achievement.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office, Tableau preferred.

  • Ability to use CRM software tool in sales cycle and opportunity funnel, Salesforce.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
