I. Job Summary

This manager level position manages the day-to-day operations of centralized dispatch. This position ensures success by establishing and maintaining performance and productivity metrics and cost management processes. Reviews operational efficiencies, safety, service, and other operational problems with the sales, customer service, and operations functions in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

This is a hybrid role for someone in the Atlanta metro area. You will be expected to work from the office one day per week.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned as required.

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of centralized dispatch.

  • Assists in meeting districts residential, commercial, and roll off efficiency goals.

  • Communicates roll off capacity to districts.

  • Ensures district rosters are reported to central dispatch daily.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains processes, procedures, and programs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability of the site.

  • Maintains and understands Service Machine standards.

  • Runs daily Service Machine reports to verify recovery and carryover percentages.

  • Delivers verbal and written disciplinary action to employees when necessary.

  • Conducts performance reviews for employees using the PDS process and other appropriate performance management tools.

  • Recruits, selects, hires and ensures training of dispatch employees.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

IV. Qualifications

A. Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.

Experience: Two years of supervisory or management experience (in addition to education requirement).

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

None required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Proficiency using computer applications to record, analyze, and report information

Work experience resolving human resource and labor relations issues.

The expected salary range for this position is $72,765-$106,622. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus.
