Junior Communications Specialist (Contract)

Location: Atlanta, GA (On-Site)

About the Role:

We're seeking a motivated and organized Junior Communications Specialist to join our team in Atlanta on a contract basis. You'll play a key role in supporting our communication efforts across various channels.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and edit press releases, social media content, and other communication materials.

• Assist with media relations activities, such as monitoring media coverage and researching potential media contacts.

• Support in developing and maintaining content calendars for various communication channels (e.g., website, social media).

• Assist with internal communication initiatives, such as creating employee newsletters or managing internal communication platforms.

• Other duties as assigned.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 1+ years of experience in a communications or marketing role (a plus).

• Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Experience with social media management tools a plus.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach.
