Position Summary

Morehouse School of Medicine, a recognized Nationally Academic Health Institution, is actively seeking a Board Certified Pulmonary/Critical Care physician to join the growing Critical Care Intensivist team at Grady Hospital System. Grady Healthcare System is one of the nations premier providers of healthcare services in the Atlanta Metro area. This physician-led group works to provide excellent patient care and exceptional patient experiences using models that follow best practices in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Minimum Qualifications

MD Degree

Georgia Medical License or ability to obtain Georgia Medical License

Board Certified or eligible to sit for the Board examination of the American Board of Medical Specialties

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

· Teach residents and fellows

· Undertake clinical responsibilities at Morehouse Healthcare, Grady Health System and other affiliated sites as assigned

· Provide Clinical service to patients in the field of Pulmonary /Critical Care

· Participate in the teaching program of the Department

· Engage in patient care activities consistent with the departments needs and faculty member’s interest

· Assume administrative duties such as serving on institutional and community-based committees and assisting with the internal Medicine Residency Program and/or Clerkship Program

· Research

· May serve as Course Director for undergraduate medical education courses

· Provide resident and medical student supervision

· Assist with resident recruitment, including interviewing candidates

Immunization Requirements

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
