What You Will Do :

The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs interns on real world projects, showcases the Guidehouse culture, and provides Interns with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real-time deliverables in support of the clients. Each Intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience.

Highlights of our Internship Program include:

  • 10-week experience in the Summer of 2025 (Anticipated to start Monday, June 2nd and run until Friday, August 8th)

  • Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor-Led)

  • Performance management, including developing goals and holding Mid-Point and Final Evaluations

  • Networking & Social Activities and Events

  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern Event

  • Intern Speaker Series

  • Collaborative Group Projects

The Capital Projects & Infrastructure team provides subject matter expertise to clients across the firm’s segments with a particular focus in the areas of: Housing & Community Solutions, Disaster Recovery & Resilience, and Capital Projects. During your assignment, you will be given the opportunity to support projects to address some of the most significant business challenges our clients face. You will support our teams as we help our clients transform their business processes, systems, improve internal controls, improve efficiency of operations, increase transparency and performance management, design and implement large scale programs, and comply with applicable laws and regulations. The nature of our projects requires self-motivated individuals who are willing to develop solutions on their own or in a team environment. Candidates with specialized coursework or other related experience are encouraged to apply. Project members are provided the opportunity to interact with our clients' senior management, as well as the opportunity to enhance their skills in the areas of technical competency, business development, client service and people development.

You’ll be working with an experienced team to support the development of client deliverables, internal and client-facing presentations, day-to-day project logistics, and any additional project tasks.

Depending on your area of study and team assignment, this position provides individuals the opportunity to serve clients in the area(s) of: grants management, construction management, capital project delivery, policy analysis, monitoring and compliance etc.

What You Will Need :

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years

  • Minimum Degree Status Required: Graduating with an undergraduate or advanced degree between Fall 2025 and Summer 2026 demonstrating a high level of professionalism and curricular focus in Capital Projects, or Disaster Recovery & Resilience

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the country

  • No current or future sponsorship is available for this position

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Degree/Majors Preferred: Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Construction Management, Grants Management, Public Administration

  • Desire to support public sector clients with a focused mission on Disaster Recovery; and Capital Projects and Infrastructure

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management principles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite including internal communications tools and file sharing

  • Proficiency in GIS mapping and data analysis

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with economic, policy, and financial analysis and research

  • Proactive and independent work style

  • Ability to assume ownership of significant portions of tasks while collaborating with a close-knit team

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

  • Candidates with prior work experience and/or an advanced degree are also welcome to apply and may be in consideration for a more senior role post-internship

The annual salary range for this position is $59,900.00-$89,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
