Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Atlanta, Georgia

Description Do you have experience in accounting as a Full Charge Bookkeeper? Looking for new challenges that will propel your skills, as well as your career? If you're looking for work as a Full Charge Bookkeeper in the Professional Services industry, you might be the candidates Robert Half is looking for to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions. The strongest candidates for this position will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. The short-term contract / temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper will work in Atlanta, Georgia.

What you get to do every single day

  • Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules

  • Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close

  • Handling bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing

  • Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

  • Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows

  • Maintaining historical records by filing documents

  • Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers Requirements - Highly organized and self-motivated

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience

  • Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

  • Full Cycle Payroll experience

  • Bookkeeping experience preferred

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred

  • Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Prior payroll experience preferred

  • Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight

  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

  • A deep understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting

  • High school diploma or similar accreditation, and an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended

    • Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience a plus
