Delta Professional Services (DPS) is a premier instruction services company serving as a strategic partner for Delta Air Lines and other clients providing supplemental instructors for flight simulator and training device instruction.

Non-Seniority List Coordinator / Instructor Fleet Common Programs:

  • Part time position committed to providing a premier training experience to 14 CFR Part 121 Certified Air Carrier pilots in Flight Training for Delta Air Lines or external DPS clients.

Duties and Skills:

  • Must understand the role and responsibilities of an airline pilot including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Coordination and Instructor support with Fleet Common Programs for all Elevate DCLC (Delta Captain Leadership Course) and Pilot Indoctrination.

  • Coordinate DCLC monthly instructor schedule

  • Coordinate and communicate monthly DCLC student roster

  • Coordinate DCLC course updates with core instructor team

  • Maintain strong relationship with Training Development/Media manager

  • Maintain strong relationship with Analytics manager

  • Maintain strong relationship with key Elevate stakeholders and instructor team

  • Supporting all Elevate in classroom courseware and logistics for DCLC and Pilot Leadership

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with

  • Pilot in Command and Second in Command Duties, roles, and responsibilities

  • Expectations for professionalism, leadership, decision making, Crew Resource and Threat and Error Management

  • Client company policies, procedures, and available resources

  • Be an excellent communicator and listener

  • Must be able to present an organized briefing and lead substantive, interactive discussions; including but not limited to:

  • Closely adheres to approved curricula in allotted time for each instructional module

  • Logistical management of classroom and training resources (MS PowerPoint, digital documents/manuals, whiteboards, handouts, etc.)

  • Must be a good listener and willing to solicit feedback from attendees and others for on course critiques

  • Must be customer service-driven

Schedules:

  • Instructors are offered flexible schedules

  • Instructors must be available weekends and holidays, when required

  • Instructors must be willing to work at non-Atlanta “off-site” training locations when required

  • Operationally, Instructors can expect to be scheduled for 10-12 training events per month

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Aircraft Multiengine Land Class

  • Must have served as a pilot at a 14 CFR Part 121 Certified Air Carrier

  • Must have accrued a minimum of 2,000 hours as Pilot in Command at a 14 CFR Part 121 Certified Air Carrier

  • Applicants must apply no later than 24 months after retiring from a 14 CFR Part 121 Certified Air Carrier (Exceptions will be considered)

  • Applicant should be familiar with technology required for the position including, but not limited to:

  • Use of Apple iPad tablet

  • Conversant in the technology required to access company information, email, schedules and meetings

  • Conversant in the use of MS PowerPoint

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles

  • Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Previous experience as a flight simulator check airman at a 14 CFR Part 121 Certified Air Carrier

  • Previous experience as a line check airman at a 14 CFR Part 121 Certified Air Carrier

  • Current and qualified as a pilot for Delta Air Lines or other DPS clients

  • Aircraft Type Rating in aircraft operated by Delta Air Lines or other DPS clients
