Kelly Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Automation Controls Engineer to join our client in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, programming, and testing industrial control panels. You will provide critical support to our service technicians and clients, ensuring the seamless operation of PLCs and HMIs. Your expertise will be vital in delivering top-notch automation solutions and supporting our clients nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, program, and test industrial control panels.

  • Provide technical support to service technicians and clients.

  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Eaton, Mitsubishi).

  • Develop and maintain HMI applications (Idec, Eaton).

  • Utilize AutoCAD for control panel design and layout.

  • Use Excel, Word, and Outlook for documentation and communication.

  • Manage customer relationships using CRM software.

  • Travel nationwide for installations, startups, and service support.

Qualifications:

  • Prefer 5-10 years of experience in automation controls engineering.

  • 2-4 year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (A/B, Eaton, Mitsubishi).

  • Experience with HMI development (Idec, Eaton).

  • Strong skills in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Familiarity with CRM software.

  • Ability to travel within the USA (all 50 states).
