ASSISTANT CONTROLLER - Acquisitions oriented company in Buckhead

An Assistant Controller position has opened up with one of our clients. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with a demonstrated history of resolving problems after identifying issues. You will keep the Controller up to date on the accounting staff as the Assistant Controller. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Test and produce Ad Hoc financial reports

• Confirm regular account reconciliation to completion

• Produce relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like key financial metrics, actual spend against budgets/outlook, and the monthly flash report

• Stimulate accountability and the meeting of deliverables

• Encourage implementation and certify adherence to accounting policies and procedures

• Developed preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits

• Facilitate the accounting team during the closing process to see to it that deadlines are met

• Accommodate the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting

• Extra assignments if necessary

• Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures

• Discern and establish process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency

• Advance to ensure a competent, trained staff through development, goal setting, and regular assessment

• Backfill for Controller as necessary

  Requirements

• Certified Public Accounting license or exams in progress

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• 5+ years of progressive accounting and management experience

• Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

• Understanding GAAP and firm accounting policies and procedure
