Ohio University The Ohio Museum Complex Associate Director & Operations Manager in Athens, Ohio

Job Description:

The OHIO Museum Complex ( OMC ) Assistant Director and Operations Manager works with OMC leadership to oversee daily operations enabling scientific research, exhibits/visitor experiences, and STEM / STEAM educational programming consistent with the Museum’s cross-disciplinary mission and strategic goals. Tasks include communication with diverse stakeholders involved in research, education, and major renovations of OMC gallery/research space in Lin Hall. The successful candidate will engage in collaborative content development for learner experiences and supervision of intern/volunteer program, with budget co-management responsibilities for exhibitions/programs/student project support.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Museum/Arts Administration or related.

Minimum of one year of related experience and one year of management experience.

Graduate/professional training and prior experience in education, museum studies and/or museum administration required. Strong verbal/written/visual communication skills and ability to ensure high-quality cohesive visual identity across printed educational materials, offline branding (including signage) and digital content is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License, fluency with InDesign and other graphics software used in exhibitions and programming, web fluency and digital design skills enabling production-quality materials with strong brand consistency, social media fluency.

Advertised Salary:

Targeted Salary range of $44,592 to $59,085 depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
