Ohio University Adjunct Instructor of Biological Sciences, Beginning Academic Year 2024-2025 (POOL POSTING) in Athens, Ohio
Job Description:
Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking part-time instructors to teach a variety of in-person biological sciences ( BIOS ) courses at the undergraduate level. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and changing programmatic needs. When a need arises, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool.
Preference will be given to applicants who can teach in the following areas: human biology ( BIOS 1030), anatomy and physiology ( BIOS 1300, BIOS 1310), and microbes and humans ( BIOS 2210)

Positions will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term. Future possibility for various delivery modes including in person/face-to-face, hybrid or via technology.
This is a part-time position eligible for sick leave and retirement benefits.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Biology or closely related content area at time of application and a cohesive set of 18 semester credit hours of discipline relevant graduate course work.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Biology.
Experience teaching undergraduate courses.
Statement on teaching philosophy and experience with teaching of writing.
