Essential Functions:

  1. Maintains facility buildings, systems, equipment, and tools;
  2. Handles materials in accordance with ISO quality standards;
  3. Conducts building construction projects;
  4. Professionally meets internal customer service needs;
  5. See, reads, and understands schematics and blue print reading;
  6. Utilizes electrical, carpentry, and plumbing knowledge to perform machine and auxiliary equipment design, fabrication, and repair;
  7. Ensures that assigned work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards;
  8. Operates a motorized lift truck for the purposes of safely and properly moving, handling, and storing of materials;
  9. Complies with all company policies and procedures;
  10. Meets minimum physical/mental demands with or without reasonable accommodation;
  11. Works with co-workers in a safe, professional, and cooperative manner.
  12. Maintains good attendance, flexibility in job assignment, adaptable to changing business needs, and continually learns and applies new skills;
  13. Trains others on knowledge and skills mastered;
  14. Other duties as assignment.

General Duties / Responsibilities / Mental Demands

Operate Equipment: Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs), man lifts, metering instruments, hand/power tools, manufacturing machinery, and facility equipment i.e. HVAC, boiler, chiller system, air compressor, etc.

Administrative: See, read, and follow departmental procedures in accordance with specific documentation and ISO procedures; completes, maintains and documents general forms, reports, and machinery logs; conduct routine inspections and completes all on the job training as required.

Quality: Paperwork accuracy; follow work instructions; proactive vs reactive, diligent and tidy. All installations completed in a neat and professional manner.

Productivity: Meet established performance standards; drive problem solving activities and cost reduction through preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance and continuous improvement. Maintain updated status on preventative maintenance and work order CMMS program. Maintain department equipment, prioritizing repairs and installations base on business needs. Adhere to project schedules considering cost saving strategies. Have the ability to manage ones time around multiple responsibilities.

Health/Safety: Follow safety rules, guidelines, and training given; cleanliness of workstation/housekeeping; maintain good personal hygiene; wear all required and appropriate PPE; recognize hazards and report and/or fix; participate in safety initiatives; report all accidents/injuries/near missesimmediatelyto designated individual; practice safe work habits.

Teamwork/Flexibility: Available for OT; interact with co-workers professionally; contribute to a positive work environment; adapt to job/business demands; learn and apply new skills; support co-workers and company initiatives; able to train other employees on knowledge and skills mastered.

Monitor & Maintain Facility equipment i.e. compressors, HVAC systems, oven system, water system, fire alarm system, security system, access system, surveillance system, etc.
