We are looking for a talented, mission-driven professional to work closely with our Information Technology team, our Technology Department and all company departments and functions to set up, align, integrate and continuously improve company-wide productivity of our enterprise software and systems. The individual filling this position will resolve issues, trouble-shoot and continually refine how we select, implement and integrate software tools across the company for maximum business productivity, security, and value for money.

Key Responsibilities

  • With support from Umbra’s IT Director, provide technical support, administration, and monitoring of Microsoft Windows within a physical and virtual environment.

  • Manage current desktop deployments on multiple domains at different security levels; work with colleagues to plan next-generation upgrades and replacements.

  • Manage security patching & OS upgrades of Windows server/desktop enterprise IT systems.

  • Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems.

  • Development and support of dependable IT infrastructure and networking.

  • Develop and document solutions to complex technical issues.

  • Participate and assist in researching IT solutions in support of technology implementations.

  • Install, configure, manage baseline operating systems and supported applications.

  • Troubleshoot operating system and application faults and errors.

  • Support Government mandated IT Security policies and procedures.

  • Perform media protection in accordance with DOD security policies, and degauss and wipe hard drives as required.

  • Perform vulnerability scans of operating systems utilizing approved security scanner.

  • Resolve IT related Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and remediate software vulnerabilities via security patching, and specialized software configurations.

  • Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems.

  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing VMs, configuring optimization features at the VM level, managing alerts, events, log collection, and reporting.

  • Review and make improvements as necessary to existing software configuration and integrations.

  • Participate in continuous evaluation and improvement of software tools to best satisfy business and security requirements.

  • Practical experience in implementing and maintaining thin-client workstations.

  • Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.

  • TS/SCI with Poly required for Position or TS/SCI and willingness to get a poly.

  • Current DODD 8140/8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) required (such as CCNA Security, Security CE, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP)

  • Experience developing IT checklists, SOPs, guides, etc.

  • Implement ongoing system security compliance measures to include patches and system updates.

  • Strong familiarity and experience with identity management, single sign on (SSO) and MFA.

  • 3+ years experience with server / workstation patch management methodologies

  • Experience with reviewing security scans and applying DISA STIG to Windows Operating Systems.

  • Ability to triage and properly classify incidents and prioritize work efforts accordingly.

  • Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience with implementation and ongoing support of secure closed computing environment.

  • Experience with NIST / CMMC Compliance and security requirements.

  • Track record creating or customizing documentation and training collateral for end users of cloud-based software.

We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by skills, responsibilities and relevant work experience.
