Amentum Supply Technician - Submarine ILS in Arlington, Virginia

Amentum is seeking Supply Technician - Submarine Integrated Logistics (ILS) support in Bremerton, WA. You will perform all aspects of Submarine ILS in support of submarine modernization process.

You have strong written and oral communication skills, which are crucial for effectively collaborating with various internal and external organizations at multiple levels of management. You are a team player, able to work well in a team environment, especially when assisting technicians with equipment removal/installations and providing logistic support. You have excellent attention to detail and are a problem solver.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory, coordinate materials, enter data, and control property for supply activities and equipment installations.

  • Assist with equipment removal and installations during submarine modernization.

  • Create, verify, and report discrepancies in receiving/shipping documentation.

  • Understand NAVSEA submarine modernization ILS processes, including certification, risk assessment, configuration management, supply support, product delivery, and RMMCO requirements.

  • Provide logistic support to installation team leads.

  • Store, stack, and palletize heavy, sensitive, and controlled government electronic equipment safely.

  • Operate hand or power trucks for warehousing duties.

  • Perform quality assurance tasks, including inspections and inventory checks.

  • Manage inventory of decentralized controlled items, including supplies and equipment.

  • Generate and submit configuration files for submarine modernization.

  • Be familiar with systems like CDMD-OA, NDE, SILC, TDMIS, and NTIRA.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.

  • High school diploma (or equivalent).

  • Five (5) years of experience, to include: supervisory or warehouse lead at a DoD facility; financial management; logistics support for projects involving electronic/ electrical repair and installation, ordering, acquisition, distribution of material, equipment and resources.

  • Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.

  • Candidates must be highly motivated and well organized with strong project management skills.

  • Must be capable of working independently or in a team environment.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a government driving permit.

  • Must be willing to travel as needed.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.

Compensation & Benefits:

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $34.58 to $50/hr (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
