AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a top-notch Lead Executive Assistant eager to support our fast-paced Amazon Web Services Worldwide Public Sector team.

In this key role, you'll juggle competing priorities with ease, meet tight deadlines like a pro, and take on new projects that stretch your skills. We need someone who obsesses over details, acts with urgency, and solves any problem with innovation. You can shift gears in an instant and excel in a dynamic environment with little hand-holding.

Key job responsibilities

Manage complex calendars and scheduling with diplomacy and discretion

Organize, prioritize and appropriately handle time-sensitive, confidential information and ensure action required is addressed in a timely manner

Organize, execute, and assist with team activities

Schedule travel and create detailed travel itineraries both domestic and international (including smooth transitions between time zones)

Submit expense reports in a timely fashion

Coordinate closely with Recruiting teams, Facilities team, HR team, and other Executive Assistants within the Amazon community

Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding items to include meeting notes and action items

Develop and implement efficient administrative systems and processes

Coordinate and lead the community of executive assistants, providing guidance, training, and support as needed

Work closely with the leadership team, recruiting other Executive Assistants to ensure coverage model of EAs is support to the organization

Be a trusted advisor and thought partner for VP and leadership team

Be able to work and remain calm under pressure, juggling multiple deadlines with tact and discretion

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years of executive assistant experience

  • Experience handling administrative details independently, while exercising good judgment in keeping team members adequately informed

  • Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

  • Experience leading process improvements

  • Experience with end-to-end project management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and deal with professionals inside and outside the company

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with reconciling expenses, booking travel and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines and long-term goals

  • Desire and aptitude for learning new concepts on the job

  • Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment
