Amazon Comms Manager, AWS Private Pricing Program in Arlington, Virginia

Description

Are you a strategic thinker who habitually works back from the customer to address their needs and pain points? Do you have a knack for cutting through the noise, simplifying the complex, and saying more with less? Do you strive to deliver compelling and high-bar comms programs that entice people to answer your call to act? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a growth-minded Communications Strategist to join the Private Pricing Programs and Experiences (3PX) team.

In this role, you will join a team of strategists and producers defining and building content to educate key customer cohorts, both internal and external, about the Private Pricing Program’s mental models, tools, and processes. You will define and own the strategy of key communications programs and channels, and partner with internal stakeholders to drive production of related assets that drive efficient adoption of the Private Pricing Program. As you orchestrate, you will build mechanisms to keep workstream highly organized and connected. You will also serve as the team’s editor in chief to raise the team’s comms bar, and also demonstrate what great looks like through your own work. You will design and launch thoughtfully, and think ahead to ensure comms efforts are resonant, thoughtful, and effective. Through this work, you will play an instrumental role in building the Private Pricing Program brand, driving awareness and adoption, and increasing deal count and velocity.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who has strong editorial judgment and a keen understanding of what makes content great vs. good. You have a track record of delivering projects that are on time and of quality. You drive a wonderfully high bar as editor and producer, and meticulously craft, consider, and review the details of any comms effort. You habitually work back from the customers’ needs and pain points in defining, prioritizing, and inspecting work. You communicate concisely and precisely, and can influence others to drive your vision. You can partner effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and drive action. You are self-driven and exceptionally organized, and can build robust workback plans and roadmaps, mitigate the unexpected gracefully and effectively, and lead horizontally to drive action through others. You measure success by impact (vs. size of effort), and continuously inspect both approach and output to incrementally raise the bar over time.

Instead, we’re happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life—both in and outside of work.

We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship.
