The role is responsible for assisting research scientists, students, and faculty in the UTA Research Institute (UTARI) with the design, fabrication, modeling, and testing of technologies for research and development projects. Majority of activities will involve lab work. Perform job duties under direct supervision..Design the layout, assemble components, troubleshoot, and conduct the embedded programming for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) development.Maintain, debug, and diagnose embedded systems.Perform integration of electronic and pneumatic hardware.Perform design verification and validation of hardware systems.Prepare documentation and contribute to reports.Document work / keep accurate records. Maintain awareness of current technological advancements related to your field.Performs other duties as assigned..Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with one (1) year of relevant experience or equivalent relevant experience..Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering with experience in embedded system design and programming.
