Brother in Bartlett, TN facility is actively seeking an experienced Sr. Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist!

The Sr. Specialist, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) works with EHS and site leadership to provide professional support and subject matter expertise in the areas of compliance, continuous improvement, injury, and illness prevention, reducing environmental impact, emergency preparedness, and response, inspections, and audits.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 6 years of EHS, 3 years of experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and/or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification This is a Direct Hire position.

salary: $76,000 - $91,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for health and safety across U.S warehouse facilities, primarily supporting the Bartlett, TN location

  • Conduct inspections and audits, assessing workplace environment and working techniques to ensure compliance with company policies and occupational safety and health standards and regulations, preparing post-inspection reports and recommendations to management

  • Initiate and lead safety committee, investigations, complaints, and reports of unsafe or unhealthy working conditions or behaviors, focusing on solving problems and improving business processes

  • Examine warehouse workplace machinery and equipment to determine all safety requirements and to ensure machinery is being used properly

  • Promote safety awareness through training, informational materials, regulatory interpretations, recommendations for safe work practices, and advising site workers on hazard identification and mitigation

  • Lead, author, and manage EHS policies, procedures, and trainings (e.g. fire prevention, lockout/tagout, hazard communications, ergonomics, PIT, electrical safety, etc.) and provide recommendations to Senior Management.

Skills

  • Safety (6 years of experience is required)

  • OSHA (1 year of experience is required)
