Key Responsibilities:

The Material Operations Loan/Borrow and Sales Coordinator is responsible for developing innovative logistic plans and strategies based on decisions pertaining to aircraft routes, Loan and Borrow opportunities, overnight workload plans and borrowed parts removal schedules. Coordinate the support of various departments to remove and ship borrowed parts, as well as have spares available for replacement. Collaborate with other airlines for United’s requests for Convert to Sale (CTS), Replacement in Kind (RIK) and all other issues. Track borrowed/leased parts throughout the entire lifecycle to ensure timely removal and return of borrowed parts to keep costs down.

Loaned responsibilities include establishing authorized carriers for Loan parts agreements and Accommodation Sales. Extend mutual parts support to other airlines to improve revenue flow to offset borrowed parts costs. This function works closely with the AOG desk in concert with the Material Operations Team.

  • Coordinate all aspects of Aircraft Borrows

  • Update Daily Borrowed Parts Report for status on parts availability from shops, inventory, OSV, and open PO’s

  • Check availability of parts to replace a borrowed/leased part and look for opportunities with aircraft routing for assignment

  • Track returns of borrowed parts, and come up with solutions when mis-shipments occur

  • Review, research and acquire current list price for accurate accruals

  • Collaborate with lenders to request convert-to-sale or replacement-in-kind

  • Acquire and provide PO’s for convert to sale (CTS) and coordinate receiving transactions for PO’s

  • Provide accurate input and update of borrows in database

  • Participate in daily conference calls to discuss borrows

  • Participate in daily Workload planning meeting to discuss removal of borrowed parts

  • Audits FAA/QA

  • Coordinate all aspects of Aircraft Loans

  • Liaison with Internal/External Shops, QA, Inspection, Warehousing, Maintenance, AOG Desk

  • Review daily open loans

  • Responds to customer inquiries related to a loaned part, including requests for convert-to-sale or replacement-in-kind

  • Ensure return of loaned part and investigates any mis-shipments

  • Prepares all paperwork for monthly billing requirement

  • Answers any inquiries from Customs Brokers for any loaned parts requiring customs clearance

  • Reviews and answers requests for invoice adjustments

  • Establishes new customer setup with credit department

  • Reviews loan activities of customers with credit problems and works with credit department to make sure all stations know that certain customers are restricted

  • Reviews shops’ requests for additional invoices related to repair after a loan

  • Maintain and update loan database

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • BA preferred or equivalent work experience may substitute for education

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills a must|

  • Self starter with ability to get results

  • Proficient in all MS Office applications

  • Previous experience as loans and borrows coordinator

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

  • 4 + years work experience in loans and borrows
