We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a CPA Sr. Accountant in Ardmore, Oklahoma with REMOTE options. The role will involve managing accounting tasks, tax preparation, and payroll oversight for our team. You will have the opportunity to apply critical thinking to non-routine accounting issues and make recommendations on tax changes affecting our business entities.

Responsibilities:

• Organize accounting records from various sources for preparation of both Federal and State tax returns in Oklahoma and other states.

• Manage the outsourcing of tax preparation or prepare tax returns, both Federal and State.

• Oversee payroll operations and ensure they are conducted accurately and efficiently.

• Streamline, organize, and manage the preparation of bookkeeping for tax preparation purposes.

• Apply critical thinking to resolve non-routine accounting issues and make recommendations for improvements.

• Remain updated with current tax changes affecting our business entities and make recommendations based on these changes.

• Handle account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.

• Perform general ledger maintenance and journal entries.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and other relevant software for accounting purposes.

• Maintain a high level of integrity and reliability in all tasks.

Requirements

• Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.

• At least 10 years of experience in accounting

• High level understanding of complex family partnerships, trusts, and detailed estate planning structures.

• Demonstrable experience in Account Reconciliation.

• Familiarity with Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations.

• Proficiency in managing a General Ledger.

• Capability to prepare and record Journal Entries.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in executing Month End Close procedures.

• Knowledge of NetSuite software for accounting purposes.

• Experience with Oracle Financial systems.

• Familiarity with SAP Financial software.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent analytical abilities and numerical skills.

• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
