We are seeking a seasoned Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic team, where creativity meets technology to drive excellence in product development. Role Summary: As a Principal Software Engineer at Boston Scientific, you will leverage your extensive experience in software and product development to lead and deliver complex solutions. With a strong foundation in computer science and a proven track record in utilizing emerging technologies, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our future products and services. Key Responsibilities: Architect, develop, and support robust, scalable web applications and backend services across various platforms, primarily focusing on cloud technologies (AWS and Microsoft Azure). Utilize a wide range of technologies including Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Django, Flask, and more, ensuring high performance and security. Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions, leveraging Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) for identity and access management, and mastering containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Drive Agile software development processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Own the solution lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring integration, quality, availability, and performance standards are met. Engage in vendor and process management, optimizing technology operations and contributing to transformation initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Development or a related field. Over 17 years of experience in software and product development, with a focus on cloud computing, application architecture, and development. Microsoft Azure certification, with hands-on experience in large-scale application deployment. Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management using Azure Active Directory. Expertise in Java J2EE, Python, web technologies, and frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Django, Flask. Proficient in relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle) and development tools (Bitbucket, GitHub). Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless, and CloudFormation. Strong background in AGILE SDLC, process, and vendor management. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
