PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as the quality assurance (QA) point person for Paint, Composites, and Modular product lines, liaising with customers and suppliers. Collaborate across various departments (manufacturing, design, sales, etc.) to ensure top-notch product quality that meets customer needs and adheres to all procedures. Manage internal (production issues) and external (customer complaints) quality concerns, investigating suspect materials to swiftly resolve problems. Lead root cause analysis and implement solutions using Six Sigma methodologies. Establish and maintain in-process quality checks for consistent manufacturing and reliable products. Oversee Quality Management System compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, liaising with auditors and leading quality audits. Support the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process for new product launches, including tasks like PFMEA, Control Plans, and First Article Inspections (FAI). Maintain proper documentation revisions for existing products. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical/Materials, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Chemical engineering preferred. Ideally 3+ years of quality engineering experience. Ability to lead, coach and mentor employees. Ability to apply engineering and lean methodologies to improve manufacturing quality. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork. Problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues. Proficiency in Six Sigma methodologies for quality improvement. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards.
