What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: In this position, you will get to: Facilitate problem solving activities for both product and manufacturing processes. Perform process validations, in-process inspections, and monitor/analyze the quality of manufacturing processes and products. Provide support to design, manufacturing, and quality engineering functions for data collection, analysis, product review, and process capabilities. Perform containment activities preventing potential or additional quality defects. Provide formal documented FAI reports suitable for customer or internal use as required. Determine and use appropriate measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensional and functional requirements. Develop and maintain control charts for monitoring / improving performance. Perform product reviews and analysis to determine cause and/or disposition. Provide audit support in designated areas, Assist with training of quality standards and Participate in lean activities. Lead and/or assist in the calibration of inspection, test, and measurement equipment. Assist with training personnel to adhere to quality standards. You have: High school diploma or G.E.D. Bachelors in engineering preferred. 1 year experience in the quality process and experience with Quality Management Systems preferred. 1 year experience using precision metal fabrication measurement tools and techniques preferred.Knowledge and Skills: Experience and understanding of charting and process control methods preferred. Ability to interpret order requirements, quotes, drawings and draw conclusions. Ability to use precision measuring equipment (e.g., Calipers, micrometer, paint mil gauges, hardness tester, CMM, measuring tables, optical comparators, functional testers, etc.). Skill in identifying root causes of routine problems/issues and the ability to develop recommendations for resolution. Ability to effectively organize, plan workload and work in a self-directed manner. Ability to utilize good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with people across multiple functional areas within the company. Ability to interpret and apply Quality System / ISO procedures and documentation. Skills to quickly learn and operate a wide variety of test and measurement equipment. Skills in attention to detail and accuracy Ability to apply appropriate math and geometry. Skill in using personal computers including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.). Ability to operate hand tools. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand and walk frequently. Ability to work primarily indoors where there is frequently noise of 85 dB and occasional exposure to chemical hazards (solvents).
