WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Critical role within the Enclosures Segment Finance, leading the Finance business partnership for the Network and Cooling portion of our new Data Solutions business unit. The position partners cross-functionally to provide analytical support for strategic investments, influence contracts and price on new innovation while setting up accurate financial performance reporting across multiple sites and regions. A successful leader in this role will drive performance, accountability and predictability within Data Solutions. Key Finance Leader to the overall Network and Cooling team, key partner to business leaders and acts a trusted Finance counselor to this cross-functional business team. Lead the execution of annual operating plans including process flow, time line, review meeting coordination, document creation and control, and financial consolidation. Lead the execution of the quarterly forecast process with an emphasis on developing high quality forecasts with a thorough understanding of potential risks and opportunities, including maintaining a working forecasting model. Analyzes external market analysis with the business versus its peers/competitors. Provides trending analysis and insights on BU performance and summarizes for executive team as continuous support of strategic planning. Track and analyzes performance against the financial plan, forecast and prior year. Work to identify root cause for shortfalls vs. plan and prior year as required. Identifies, recommends and implements corrective action plans as required. Play a key role around customer contracts, active price negotiation and performance by customer. Cross-functional member in business decisions around future manufacturing capabilities to support the expected fast growth of this business. Advanced analytics - be a proponent of advanced analysis and visualization tools like Tableau and play a key role in using these tools with cross-function team while actively playing a role to drive standardization of data across nVent. Supports data collection and consolidation required to understand sales and margin analysis, structural cost analysis, customer and product profitability, pricing, market dynamics and working capital optimization. Develops/owns the standard reporting package to communicate results to management and the leadership team. Summarizes key conclusions and recommends opportunities for improvement where appropriate. Continuous improvement mindset - develops tools to independently analyze the results and performance of sales channels, vertical markets, product lines and geographical regions and recommend opportunities for improvement where appropriate. Lead CAPEX process/decisions, including financial analysis and prioritization of alternative investments, make vs. buy analysis etc., and communication of value creation for this business. YOU HAVE: BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required. 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning and/or Operational Finance required. Knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards (IAS). Manufacturing industry experience preferred. Ability to communicate and deal effectively with personnel at all organizational levels and establish sound relationships with co-workers, executives and field finance personnel. Ability to utilize Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Tableau and OneStream XF. Experience with ERP systems. JDE a plus. Must be flexible, organized and able to accurately work under time constraints and deadlines. Analyzes situations and problems and follows fact-based problem solving. Solid interest and aptitude for and experience with critical, complicated analytical work and creative thinking.
