Electrical/Controls Engineering Co-Op (June - December 2024) As an Engineering Co-Op you will gain exposure in the various aspects of engineering for a global manufacturing company. In addition, you will develop your professional expertise, technical skills, and business acumen by collaborating with experienced nVent engineering professionals and by supporting various initiatives and projects. As an Electrical Engineering Co-Op, you will: Assist engineering, supply, sales and field service activities. Apply mathematical calculations and physical concepts to practical situations. Use logic and reasoning to analyze and solve practical problems with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Define and perform testing on product characteristics to meet specifications. Identify the technical strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Write reports, technical procedures, manuals and read, analyze and interpret schematics, standards, regulations. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. What You Will Experience in this Position Your experience as an Engineering Co-Op goes beyond the day-to-day of your role. In addition to the support of your manager, you can expect to grow and develop through exposure to leadership, engaging in development opportunities, and networking with other early career professionals. Training & Development: Training and development is provided throughout your internship through on-the-job experiences and structured learning opportunities, fostering the development of business acumen and leadership skills at a global organization. Community: Join a community of other early career professionals as you launch your career. A peer-led committee helps to organize social, professional and service-related activities and events for interns and early career professionals. You will also be invited to join our Employee Resource Groups (ERG's) which offer special events, networking, professional development and volunteer opportunities throughout the year to promote inclusion and respect and to help us embrace our diversity. Mentorship & Networking: Build a network of peers, managers and senior leaders to support your career path and aid your growth. Gain exposure to nVent professionals at every level who will act as formal and informal mentors during your internship. YOU HAVE: Required Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field Juniors and Seniors preferred(Graduating between December 2024 - June 2025) Ability to work in Anoka, Minnesota full time, for the term outlined.Relocation not provided. Candidates applying for nVent's Co-Op and Internship Program must have current work authorization and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. nVent does not provide work authorization sponsorship. Bonus Qualifications: Basic knowledge in electronics & electrical engineering. Basic knowledge in Digital Signal Processors. Basic knowledge in PADs or other schematic / PCB layout systems. Basic knowledge in processor controlled data acquis tion and device control. Basic knowledge in analog power management.
