PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: The Building Automation Technician is responsible for start-up, repair, and daily maintenance of computer-based systems that control and monitor a building's mechanical and electrical equipment including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and maintain Building Automation System consisting of Niagara 4 system. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical equipment. Find opportunities for energy savings. Continuously develop skills with training. Work with HVAC/R technicians to troubleshoot, install and connect HVAC/R equipment to Building Automation System. Work with Electricians to install equipment. Work with Controls Engineers and Technicians. Create Niagara 4 based graphics and programs for use in the Building Automation System. Support two way radio system for plant wide communications. Provide various support tasks for plant management such as exporting data for reports.
