Summary
The University of Michigan is offering a postdoctoral research position aimed at exploring the mechanisms contributing to vascular alterations, tissue fibrosis, and the complex interplay between the stroma and the immune system in the context of autoimmune diseases, specifically systemic sclerosis. This opportunity resides within a dynamic laboratory that maintains a tight coupling with clinical research programs to facilitate translational outcomes, epitomizing the bench-to-bedside philosophy.
The research focus emphasizes understanding how senescence in vascular endothelial cells influences intercellular communication, blood vessel changes, and tissue fibrosis. The position will leverage a combination of cutting-edge techniques that include but are not limited to cellular and animal models, transcriptomics, epigenetics, and a suite of biochemical assays.
We are on the lookout for a dynamic and self-motivated researcher who is ready to take a leading role in this project and contribute to the field while building their career at a prestigious institution.
