Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to provide general maintenance support and excellent customer service. The successful candidate will perform routine repairs, maintenance, and restoration of the physical structure of buildings. You will collaborate closely with teams to address client needs and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various building components.

• Conduct facility inspections and report on any conditions that may impact client occupancy and operations.

• Maintain organized records of completed work and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.

• Assist the operations team in general office maintenance tasks.

• Complete special tasks, such as tenant service requests, special cleaning, and general maintenance, as assigned.

• Assist with moving office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as needed.

• Maintain a clean and safe workplace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

• Collaborate with team members to successfully complete work orders and meet client expectations.

Essential Skills

• Experience with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.

• Proficiency in preventive maintenance and plumbing.

• 2+ years of commercial maintenance experience.

• Strong attendance and reliability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with light plumbing, light electrical, and general maintenance repairs.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in oral and written reports.

• Proficient computer skills for day-to-day work and communication.

• Experience in life sciences/biotech is a bonus.

• Experience with HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, lockout/tagout, and customer service.

Work Environment

The work environment is in a giant pharmaceutical building in East Cambridge. You will be expected to maintain a clean and safe workplace, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
