The role will be working with a wider Boeing European team managing the quality aspects of the supply base for all military products in Europe. Travel to Boeing suppliers around Europe will be required on a frequent basis, probably 70% of the time. This position is Home office based.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of a portfolio of suppliers including:

  • Supplier oversight and surveillance.

  • Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) review and acceptance.

  • Supplier development and mentoring.

  • Earlier Quality Involvement (EQI) and Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) implementation.

  • Continuous improvement internal and external.

  • Creating and presenting metrics and performance data.

  • Product inspection and acceptance into the Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree within Electrical/Avionic or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification

  • Drivers license full and clean

  • Must have experience as a Quality Inspector or in the use of associated inspection equipment and processes A solid understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings

  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient in Business English, second language would be an advantage

  • A high level of attention to detail and professional integrity.

  • Ability to work on multiple programs with varying level of requirements efficiently and optimally.

  • Must have willingness to travel on a frequent basis

  • Must be able to work efficiently in a virtual environment; time management skills are crucial

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience in the inspection of machined and fabricated parts and assemblies and knowledge of electrical/electronic parts, experience on wire looms would be an advantage.

  • Experience in the review of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to the AS9102 standard, be able to articulate non-compliance/conformities to the document owners and progress through to a compliant resolution. Knowledge and experience of the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA)

  • Experience in Auditing techniques to AS9100 would be an advantage.

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense
