ManpowerGroup Manufacturing Engineer II in Alpharetta, Georgia

Our client, a medical device manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide support for new building site transfer activities, optimize process flow, and develop facility layouts.

Job Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Optimize process flow and facility layout for material handling and production using lean principles.

  • Analyze the specifications and requirements of the line design modifications and adjust layout plan accordingly.

  • Complete time studies, standard times, and labor calculations, and estimate savings to measure the impact of process and layout changes.

  • Develop capacity planning tools and production models to quantify the impact of process and layout changes.

  • Execute for operational readiness including 5S, production area signage, material flow, and safety and quality requirements.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering or similar.

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience. (Candidates with less than 2 years of experience will be disqualified.)

  • Proficiency in layout design and development software tools and programs (such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, and Microsoft Products Suite).

  • Must have a 'quality' mindset, be detail-oriented, and collaborative.

  • Strong project management skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in lean manufacturing and process improvement.

  • Experience with facility layout and design.

  • Experience in the medical device industry.
