Allegan County Community Services Officer in Allegan, Michigan

Job Summary: 

Carries out the transportation and supervision of individuals sentenced to perform Community Service through the District or Circuit Court. Handles scheduling, enrolling, and maintain records on these individuals and aids in the development and facilitation of other existing and future programs or services. Oversees Community Corrections functions. 

Wage and Hours: $21.79 per hour, no benefits, part time, up to 19.5 hours per week. 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Perform roll call of Community Service Workers at designated times and areas.

  • Collection and submittal of monies from workers and agencies. 

  • Transports workers to and from agencies utilizing the Community Service program. 

  • Supervision of workers onsite. 

  • Maintain calendar of worker and agency scheduling. 

  • Documentation of incidents that are outside the normal scope of operation. 

  • Train and guide workers on the proper use of tools and safety equipment on the work site. 

MUST BE WILLING TO WORK WEEKENDS

Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). 

  • One (1) year of experience in law enforcement or corrections is preferred but not required. 

  • Valid Michigan Driver's License.
