Amentum has an exciting opportunity for MULITPLE Electricians to join their team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia.

The Position

The position will provide a professional service in the execution of technical repair & maintenance of all assigned facility infrastructure equipment. This includes elements of planning, organization, coordination, scheduling, training, mentoring, and resource management associated with the day-to-day maintenance of the facility.

Tasks & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the efficient and timely identification and completion of maintenance work tasks and ensuring high levels of service are maintained. This role also ensures that the Electrician completes repairs and maintenance of all equipment in a manner that maximizes productivity and equipment reliability.

Minimum Requirements

• Understanding and knowledge of technical terminology relating to Electrical infrastructure and electronic equipment

• Understanding of Work Health Safety (WHS) Act, and EHS policies & procedures

• Understanding of 110V (US) power, and/or the willingness to learn

• Capacity to gain understanding and appreciation across other relevant technical areas such as High Voltage and Power Generation

• Ability to problem solve, decision making and analytical skills

• Australian candidates must hold and be able to maintain an Australian "A" Grade Electrical License

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

• Certificate III or equivalent

Field: Electrotechnology or other relevant or related discipline

Desirable

• Diploma

Field: Electrical Engineering, Communications, Controls or other relevant or related discipline

TICKETS AND LICENCES

Essential

• Drivers License

• Must hold and be able to maintain an Australian “A” Grade Electrical License

EXPERIENCE

• Power generation and distribution

• Load management

• Data center power systems

• Configuration management

• Building management and control systems

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS

• You should be able to perform general trades-based tasks and physical work of light to moderately heavy physicality.

• The position will also require some extended periods sitting and working in an office space monitoring equipment via HMI. Additionally there may be extended periods of office work reading and interpreting plans and completing technical documentation

• The position may also call for extended periods of manual trade based labour and time on feet working with tools and equipment

• Attention to detail and high concentration levels are required along with the ability to multi task and perform thorough decision making processes
