Job Title: Senior ArchitectJob Description
Seeking a talented senior transportation architect. This person will have the opportunity to lead this practice area and actively be involved in improving efficiencies, set long-term goals, and support the overall execution of the project. They will work closely with clients and consultants.
Responsibilities
Balance efforts in business development, practice area initiatives, and project work.
Participate in go/no-go meetings and key interviews.
Work with proposal leads to set fees, schedules, and team composition for proposals.
Lead the design process, defining the project vision and approach.
Engage in Public Transit business development meetings and practice area updates.
Assist with annual business planning.
Train and mentor junior staff on project execution.
Uphold the roles of Strong Project Manager and Strong Project Sponsor on Public Transit projects.
Collaborate with leadership to foster team growth within the office.
Attend industry events and conferences as needed.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
Experience with project management and construction administration
10 years of transportation experience
Management experience with clients, consultants, and junior staff
Knowledge of construction documents
Registered architect
Additional Skills & Qualifications
15+ years of experience with a minimum of 10 years of experience on public transit projects and a proven ability to manage clients and projects.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, professional degree or equivalent preferred.
Professional license preferred with the ability to become licensed across the U.S.
Excellent emotional intelligence and communication abilities.
Strong customer service and collaboration skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially under difficult circumstances.
Strong high-level leadership skills.
Commitment to a team-oriented approach.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, Revit, and AutoCAD.
Work Environment
Work-life balance includes a hybrid work policy and flexible work options. You will be part of a 3-person transportation team within an overall staff of 50 architects.
