The Janitor performs manual labor tasks in support of assigned areas and assists in the general maintenance of a wide range of City facilities and operations. The role involves ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and proper stocking of facilities. Some of these positions may be safety-sensitive and subject to random drug/alcohol testing.
Responsibilities:
Interior Cleaning:
- Mopping, vacuuming, and sweeping floors.
- Cleaning surfaces with disinfectant.
- Emptying trash cans and recycling bins.
- Disinfecting frequently touched items like desks, door handles, and office tools.
- Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies.
Qualifications:
- General maintenance or custodial experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work independently.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow safety protocols.
