Amentum is currently seeking an Application Engineer to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.

You will be a part of a team that provides software solutions in order to enable efficient Finance operation. They are part of the larger Enterprise Systems group which is a highly integrated team of departments focused on delivering innovative, reliable, cost effective software systems.

As a member of the team, you will:

• Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.

• Translate detailed design into application systems.

• Test, debug, and refine applications to produce the required product.

• Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.

• Enhance applications to improve performance and add functionality.

• Provide technical direction to engineers to ensure program deadlines are met.

• Gather functional Supply Chain requirements, supporting IT Service Management processes, IT documentation, testing, and could start learning some application development skills, desktop and peripheral application and hardware support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a High School degree and 2 years of experience OR equivalent.

• Related experience can be substituted for relevant higher education and vice versa.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Clearance.

• Experience installing, troubleshooting, and supporting a Windows based desktop computer including attached peripherals such as scanners and iPhones following requirements established by customer.

• Experience evaluating and gathering IT requirements to assist in resolving customer’s technical challenges.
