UNIVERSAL Technologies, LLC Senior Business Analyst in Albany, New York

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Senior Business Systems/QA Analyst for a remote position based in Albany, NY. Applicants must be able to pass a mandatory ITS Security Agreements and Fingerprint-based Background Check and sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement). Candidates must reside in the EST Time zone in USA.

Position: The Senior Business Analyst will participate with the business in the creation/completion of project charters for automation projects. Daily responsibilities will include gaining an understanding of business problems, defining and validating project scope, capturing and documenting requirements, meeting with stakeholders, subject matter experts, process owners, and users, developing business requirements, and ensuring best practices and standard operating procedures are consistently met.

    MANDATORIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, science, computer science, psychology, or a related field. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.

  • A minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in business analysis.

  • Strong analytic capabilities and exemplary skills in stakeholder relationship development and management.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage and develop key relationships with colleagues and clients through collaborative thinking and a strong customer focus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Hands-on experience using Visio, Miro, Balsamiq, UXPIN software tools.

  • Experience with developing requirements for solution and solution component design, leveraging Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).

    Required Skills:

  • 7 years of analyzing an organization or business domain and documenting its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology.

  • 7 years of performing analysis by eliciting and analyzing stakeholders’ business needs using various analysis techniques.

  • 7 years creating and maintaining software development artifacts for communication of requirements, including context diagrams, textual use cases, swim lane diagrams, report specifications, wireframes, user interface specifications, and non-functional requirements specifications.

  • 7 years of facilitating requirement workshops, JAD sessions, and structured walkthroughs.

  • 7 years of experience creating test plans/cases, managing defects with development teams, and working with users on User Acceptance Testing.

  • 7 years of managing requirements throughout the Requirements Management Lifecycle.

  • 3 years of experience working on various applications within the Business domain/License domain.

    JOB DUTIES:

  • Work closely with the project manager, ITS manager, technical team members, and other project stakeholders to provide project guidance.

  • Study the business and software application domains to understand the problem space and develop effective software solutions.

  • Work as a liaison to software users and Subject Matter Experts to elicit, analyze, communicate, validate, and verify the requirements for complex changes and new business processes.

  • Convey the requirements of the software users to the development team.

  • Create business requirements documents, context diagrams, business requirements documents (BRD), system “as-is” and “to be” states, system specifications, use cases and workflow diagrams, report and screen mockups, swim lane diagrams, and prototypes.

  • Ensure that artifacts required by ITS governance process and Secure Systems Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) are created and support the project scope.

  • Facilitate the adoption of standard patterns and designs which support the application, data, and security architecture strategy for applications.

  • Actively adapt to changing technology needs and frameworks.

  • Leverage the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) for all activities.

  • Assist with creating accurate time estimates for the completion of technical documentation and execution tasks.

  • Develop requirements for solution and solution component design.

  • Collaborate with developers and business subject matter experts to analyze requirements and design tradeoffs and priorities.

  • Manage requirements through the life of the contract using a requirements management plan and traceability to ensure coverage between the source of each requirement and the test case(s) it will be tested by.

  • Responsible for any other tasks assigned by management.
