The Financial Planning Specialist will be responsible for maintaining detailed databases used for routine financial reporting and organizational decision making. Will also collect, prepare, and analyze financial data.
Salary Range: $60,308.00 - $96,492.00
Basic Function:
- Collect, prepare, and analyze financial data used for routine financial reporting and organizational decision making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science, Finance, or related field.
A minimum of five years’ experience in a position that involved finance/IT analysis and data management. Healthcare experience preferred. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for 1 year of experience.
Strong proficiency in decision-support systems, combined with experience in relational databases and spreadsheets. Ability to manage and analyze data using SQL and/or other domain specific languages. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. EPIC experience a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills are necessary to perform tests and evaluations, ensuring data integrity
Expertise in SQL and Excel are required. EPIC experience a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills required.
Specific Responsibilities:
Query and maintain detailed databases that are used to develop financial models to support management in decision-making processes.
Query and provide month end reports/data needs utilized for financial statement revenue reporting.
Supports Director/Assistant Director with month end Analysis.
Provide data analysis to end business users that assists in trend analysis, problem solving, strategic planning, and decision making.
Assist with year-end financial audit.
Meet firm deadlines for analysis and institutional data needs.
Identify opportunities for process improvements.
Special projects on an as-needed basis.
Relationships:
Interact and work closely with all units of the Hospital, Physician Practice, Marketing, Corporate Compliance, Contracting, Credentialing, and IS.
Interact with external auditors and consultants
