SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Experience in designing and securing complex architectures including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and secure VPNs.

  • Proficiency in implementing and managing encryption technologies to protect classified data both at rest and in transit.

  • Experience with secure communication protocols, such as TLS/SSL, IPsec, and secure email (S/MIME), to protect classified communications.

  • Expertise in implementing and managing access control mechanisms, such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), role-based access control (RBAC), and least privilege principles.

  • Ability to lead and execute incident response procedures, including the detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery from security incidents involving classified data.

  • DoD 8570/8140 Compliance: Familiarity with the Department of Defense (DoD) requirements for cybersecurity workforce qualifications and certifications.

  • NIST SP 800-53: Understanding of the NIST Special Publication 800-53 guidelines for securing federal information systems and organizations.

  • Risk Management Framework (RMF): Expertise in applying the RMF to assess and authorize systems that handle classified information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to classified spillage notifications, coordinating with ARL Security, ARL IT Staff, and Legal Offices to minimize the impact on ARL resources.

  • Follow DoD and Army regulations, policies, and guidelines. The Contractor shall report to Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER) as required.

  • Process, track, and ensure proper decommissioning of Classified Equipment via the classified Turn-In process.

  • Shall manage the CTO 22-025: Data Loss Prevention (DLP)documentation processing, tagging, updating for all sites.

  • Review any reported ARL Vulnerability Disclosure Program (VDP)s, monitor until completion, and update VDP data in the SIPR portal.

  • Collect, organize, submit monthly Cyber Maintenance Hardening Scorecard data via eMASS.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

  • CISSP/CISM

  • CompTIA Security+(preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 -years of Cybersecurity experience.

  • 2-years supporting classified networks

  • Work is generally performed in an office setting, with potential travel.
