WestRock Company PrePress Manager in Adams, Wisconsin

Career Opportunity:

The Pre-Press Manager has overall responsibility for the personnel, safety, environmental impact, quality, cost, and performance for the printing and pre-press areas within the plant. This position leads and coordinates efforts and activities utilizing his/her knowledge and experience to achieve key performance metrics that support overall plant goals.

How You Will Impact WestRock:

  • Responsible for the shift’s production efficiency and quality of work; Ensure a smooth workflow from origin of the job to final approval.

  • Supervise department personnel and manage employee productivity.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to production, and quality issues.

  • Ensure compliance with GMPs and SOPs and department work instructions, procedures, and protocols.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations; create and maintain a safe and secure work environment.

  • Responsible for assisting training of shift personnel.

  • Review Daily performance for possible continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in production meetings to review manufacturing processes for compliance.

  • Responsible to work with manufacturing for ensuring production equipment is to OEM standards with respective departments.

  • Review costs within department spends for variance.

  • Maintain production and invoicing records.

  • Communicate daily to appropriate management personnel regarding production status of tools.

  • Assist with development and maintenance of cost-effective efficiency and quality improvements.

  • Assist Management in executing operating strategies and plans and achieving company goals and objectives.

  • Other duties as assigned and needed for manufacturing flow.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • High School Completion or GED Required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred

  • 3-5 Years Management/Supervisory Experience in a Manufacturing Setting required

  • Printing and/or Packaging is a plus

  • Leadership, Communication, Strategic & Tactical Planning, Coaching & Development

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office (PowerPoint), and Outlook

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement Principles and Tools

  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis Methodology

  • Innovation, Change Management
