Avera is currently seeking a highly motivated Regional Director of Philanthropy with experience in major gift solicitation and program management.

Job Summary
The Regional Director of Philanthropy is accountable for leading philanthropy efforts and partners closely with benefactors, constituents and other partners to support an assigned region of Avera.
As a member of the Avera Philanthropy team, the Regional Director will develop relationships with capable constituents that result in multi-year philanthropic commitments.
The Regional Director’s primary focus will be on leadership annual, major and legacy gifts, campaigns and initiatives.
The Regional Director will partner with members of Avera administration as well as Regional Council, campaign cabinets or assigned volunteers to lead philanthropic engagement and campaigns.
The Regional Director may serve as the staff liaison to an assigned regional council.
Moreover, the Regional Director is responsible for building enduring benefactor relationships that lead to philanthropic investment by managing a portfolio of capable prospects and existing supporters in identification, cultivation, solicitation, recognition and stewardship activities.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of three (3) years fundraising, with experience in major gift solicitation and program management preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.
