Amazon Japan is looking for an enthusiastic, service-oriented Senior Product Manager to unify and grow inbound services for the JP Retail business. You will develop the roadmap for inbound transformation to enhance vendor experience, improve operational performance, and drive free cash flow. This highly visible role will own service implementation and performance, as well as develop new processes to improve our operational KPIs. You will organize and integrate/unify different services to achieve end-state vision, including transition strategy for new/existing services or service features.

The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should have exceptional ability to codify processes to remove ambiguity, and streamline existing activities to improve productivity and drive scalability. You will be a strong leader who can establish trust with diverse teams, and influence at the senior level to champion the customer in all interactions. You will work closely with local business teams, JP supply chain, service leads and design & technical teams. You will implement effective change management strategies to build the Amazon Supply Chain of the future.

Key job responsibilities

• Own service goals and growth targets, and lead internal business performance reviews

• Orchestrate service operations across business and supply chain teams

• Deep dive and troubleshoot daily operational issues where necessary

• Develop and improve key metrics and processes for program success

• Work backward from customer’s needs and pain points, or internal defects, and translate them into business requirements

• Work with the global tech teams and internal stakeholders to roadmap new service features

• Lead change management and stakeholder alignment for inbound transformation

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field

• Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

• Extensive experience in Product Management, Supply Chain Management, or Retail Operations

• Strong and successful communication skills which include the ability to write compelling, concise documents.

• Highly quantitative. Enjoy analyzing user data

• Decision Making / Complex Problem Solving - system thinker who proactively gathers the right data from appropriate sources to make the right decisions.

• Highly organized with ability to prioritize ruthlessly and get stuff done

• Teamwork and willingness to roll up sleeves.

• Proven English and Japanese communication skills – both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s Degree in relevant fields

• Advanced Knowledge of SQL and ability to build data models

• Complex program/product management experience

• Operations or Instock manager experience
