Job Summary:

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer who can lead product design across Exos’ digital apps, which are used by our members and our coaches. In this role, you will lead initiatives in collaboration with product managers, engineers, data scientists, marketers, and others and ensure our product is easy to use and positively impact our members. Our squads collaborate on everything from roadmaps and research to experiments and designs, and are collectively responsible for executing on our mission. You should both be excited to be part of product strategy and be the hands-on designer for our products.

This role reports to the SVP of Technology, and will be hybrid (spending one day per week in our NYC corporate office).

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner with product management, engineering, and other key parts of the business to drive product strategy and design and ship product experiences that deliver great outcomes to both our customers and our business.

  • Act as a senior member of the design team, collaborating with and mentoring other designers to make their work and the whole team better.

  • Own and demonstrate the design process from beginning to end, taking it from user research insights, through the exploration of problem and possibility spaces, and then translating ideas into delightful and usable experiences.

  • Take a holistic view of experience design across both the digital and “real world” aspects of our product.

  • Own the success or failure of your work, and initiate sessions with your team to iterate on features after they launch.

  • Document and communicate process, research, and learnings to facilitate knowledge sharing across the team.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • 5+ years of professional experience designing digital products and systems for mobile and web apps.

  • Strong visual and interaction design skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve UX flows. You should also be comfortable with data visualization.

  • Fluency in designing and prototyping with Figma.

  • Experience or strong interest in service design and product experiences that bridge the digital and physical worlds.

  • Ability to work within an existing design system, along with knowledge of when to break out and create new, extensible patterns.

  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to inform your work and validate product assumptions.

  • Ability to create a compelling narrative about customer needs and product strategy to create alignment around your work.

  • Ability to think strategically about how to validate assumptions, including with experiments and smaller releases.

  • Ability to create a product vision and understand how to break it down into iterative chunks of work.

  • Ability to manage design projects independently and share work frequently with others.

  • Experience conducting user research and translating the findings into design decisions

  • You accept and resolve critique gracefully.
