IBM TSS Customer Engineer in Zagreb, United States

Introduction

System Services Representatives are the primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and software support and delivery of operational services. Sound pretty important? Absolutely! You will advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which may drastically impact product performance or impair the client's IT operation.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role you will be the technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and/or software support and delivery of operational services. You will cooperate with the team of IBM experts and wide community of potential adopters of IBM technologies.

Your main duties will include:

  • On-site installation, maintenance and repair of IBM and multi-vendor systems and components (including hardware, networking products, software and operating systems)

  • Performing services activities(such as: systems assurance, installation planning, account management, systems-level problem determination, discontinuance and relocation of IBM and non-IBM systems and products)

  • Ensuring a high level of client satisfaction with service delivery, technical support and operational services

  • Proposing and caring out the services that contribute to the success of the client's business

  • Managing technical value relationship and responsibility for identification of the new services opportunities

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and the ability to learn fast

  • Passionate about providing solutions to challenging problems

  • Fluent English and Croatian

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Understanding of the open source environment

  • Good presentation skills
