KenCom Public Safety Dispatch is a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week\ multijurisdictional emergency communications center in Kendall County,\ Yorkville, IL, serving thirteen (13) police, fire, and EMS agencies. The 9-1-1\ telecommunicator role is crucial to our operations, as they are the first point of\ contact in emergencies. KenCom seeks 9-1-1 telecommunicator applicants who\ want to work in an exciting, challenging, and rewarding field. Job duties include,\ and are not limited to, answering 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls. Prioritizing calls\ and dispatching the appropriate responders. Track and maintain logs for\ emergency responders using a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system. Interprets\ and relays complex data when necessary. Enters records in the State and Federal\ law enforcement databases. Performs routine office and clerical tasks. Works in a\ team environment and provides support to co-workers.
