10 Hours Shifts
Evenings 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM (10% shift differential)
Week One - Monday - Thursday
Week Two - Tuesday - Friday
40 Hours per week, 80 hours per biweekly pay period
Under the direct supervision of the Foreman, must have full competency in one core engineering trade and must have intermediate skills in a second core trade. The core engineering trades are: Carpentry, Mechanic, Plumber, and Electrician. The benchmark for intermediate skills test is listed below by trade.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms all essential job duties of the Painter position. Builds walls using metal studs, various wall boards, finishing with tape and drywall compound. Installs flooring including VCT, and sheet goods. Knowledge of floor adhesives and floor grout required. Installs hand rails, chair rail, wall protection plates, cove base, trim and various wall mounted fixtures. Installs suspended ceilings including grid layout, leveling, and cutting of ceiling tile for custom fit. Constructs and maintains building woodwork such as bins, counters, benches, stairs and doors. Repairs articles of furniture such as cabinets, chairs, storage fixtures and office equipment. Repairs loose or broken joints. Builds, repairs, and installs as directed within the capabilities of the trade. Repairs or replaces windows, doors, ceiling and floor tile plus various wooden wall coverings. Replaces door or window glass. Installs lock and passage sets and panic door hardware and repairs same. Maintains inventory and log of locks and Requisitions lumber, hardware, and other supplies and equipment; maintains inventory of carpentry tools and equipment. Works from blueprints and drawings in constructing and repairing woodwork. Qualifications

2 - 3 years Carpenter Trade Experience
Required Cert / Training: Four year carpentry apprenticeship
High School or G.E.D.
Heavy physical effort (lift/carry 26 to 50 lbs)
Frequent prolonged standing/walking
Pushes/pulls or moves/lifts heavy equipment/supplies
Manual dexterity and mobility
Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
